ABOUT ME

My name is George Darlington I was originally born in London but was brought up In a botanical garden in the south of France. I returned to the Uk in 2013 more specifically to its country side in Norfolk where my success in Art and Mathematics prompted my future studies of Architecture as a BA at the University of Westminster. Now that I have graduated with honours and reached the first milestone in my journey to becoming a qualified Architect, I am searching for a position within a practice as a Architectural Assistant.

My experience within the industry constitutes work placements in London based practices such as Haworth Tompkins, a firm specialised in residential and theatrical buildings. And most recently dmfk, a practice that focuses on the restoration and refurbishments of historical listed buildings.

My interests within architecture is the subjects relevance in combating climate change and my possible contribution to it through intelligent sustainable design lead by the sustainable design principles. Furthermore a way of achieving sustainability is through the automation of architecture, a subject on which I wrote my dissertation, analysing the effects of computational design, robotic fabrication and buildings operation systems.
